Field Day

ARRL Field Day is held every year on the fourth full weekend in June. Begun in 1933, the object of Field Day is to work as many stations as you can. Like a contest, participants in Field Day submit their logs and may be eligible for a number of different awards.

On Field Day, the members of CCDX pack up our rigs and take off for Four Winds Lane--at the Walpole, Surry, and Westmoreland town lines. We set up tents, stations, and computers to enjoy both a great operating experience and the great outdoors. Those members who are unable to meet at the campsite still check in on-the-air and take part in one of the most beloved activities in Amateur Radio.
